Which Foamex thickness should I choose?
- 3mm: lightweight smaller signs, point-of-sale graphics and mounted panels.
- 5mm: a versatile all-round choice for general signage, retail and exhibition graphics.
- 10mm: more substantial panels where additional rigidity is useful.
Square cut or cut to shape?
Square-cut boards suit standard signs, menus, wayfinding and display panels. Cut-to-shape options are useful for relatively simple logos, arrows, silhouettes and branded shapes and require suitable vector artwork.
Can Foamex be used outdoors?
Foamex can be used for suitable short-term outdoor applications, but the fixing method, finished size, location and expected weather exposure all affect performance. For a more rigid longer-term external sign, Dibond may be more suitable.
Artwork and sizing
Supply artwork at the finished size with the required bleed. Cut-to-shape designs need a suitable vector cut path. Boards over 1500mm in either width or length are supplied in two pieces to support safer shipping.
